managed to ‘kill’ my laptop recently when in an irrational panic I switched it off midway through an update.

Switching it back on, I had the ‘this has sustained a fatal error’ message and feared the worst. I decided to have a look for local IT/PC repairers on the internet and came across Computerfix-services. I’m always a little wary of finding people without any form of personal recommendation but I persevered as I wanted to get the thing fixed. I emailed the site and Dave called me back to chat through my problem.

He was friendly, genuine and re-assuring. I agreed to drop the laptop off that night and he ran through what the problem was in easy to understand language, how it would be resolved and what the cost would be. At no point did I feel like I was being hard sold or my desire to have the laptop repaired being exploited. I left it with him and the next day he dropped me a line to tell me that it had been repaired and was ready for collection. Upon picking it up, he explained what he’d done, how it would now run faster than it used to (which it does) and other general tips. I paid what was a very fair price and upon taking it home there were no nasty surprises.

can’t fault the service that I received. When you consider the amount of sharks and cowboys out there, in Dave I couldn’t have found a better, more conscientious individual to take care of my problem. I’d use him again in a heartbeat and would be delighted to offer my recommendation of the service that he offers. Good local tradesmen need to succeed and Dave is certainly one of them.

Woodrow Press had a long-standing computer network issue that we have never been able to resolve, much to my frustration. I was recommended to the services of Computerfix by a colleague and from the first contact that I had with Dave Woodward I was very impressed; He is a highly enthusiastic character who clearly knows his way around computers and networks. Within 15 minutes, David had logged on to our system using a remote network and had fixed the problem, that had long been a thorn in my side.
